Pagan Traditions

Welcome to Pagan Traditions! I'm sorry - That sounded weird! However, that title could be appropiate for every catholic and protestant church out there! Did you know the word church itself comes from the Greek word cir'ce which is the name of a Babylonian deity. We get many English terms from this name such as circle, circumference, circus...etc. Maybe church is also an appropriate title for them in reference to a circus!

Welcome to learning about traditions that are rooted in pagan origins. We need to shed off the traditions of men that are contrary to the Commandments of Yahuah. We first must remove the camoflauge that is surrounding these traditions. I tell people all the time that paganism is well camoflauged! The devil (hasatan) is very crafty! Deceit only works when you believe that the lie is the truth! I hope this page will enlighten the eyes of those who are blinded by the lie. We should not mix truth with a lie. We should not mix the worship of Yahuah with the worship of false gods. Deuteronomy 12:29-31 tells us not to worship Yahuah in the same way that pagans worship false deities!

Colossians 1:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Messiah."

We must be careful not to confuse traditions of men with the commandments of Yahuah. Just because we take a tradition long ago rooted in paganism and mix it with the worship of Yahuah, doesn't mean Yahuah has to accept this- in fact Scripture tells us he will reject us for it! We must unlearn pagan ways, and keep the commandments of Yahuah! Not all traditions are bad, not all traditions are rooted in paganism; but the ones that are we must shed off. We have to learn Yah's ways! You must remind yourself- it's not what it means to me that is important- it's what it means to Yahuah that is important!

I highly recommend watching this Video by Jim Staley with Passion for Truth ministries, it is eye opening to the pagan origins of christmas and easter. A must see!!!

The Two Babylons is full of information on Paganism, tracing all Paganism back to Nimrod and Semiramis at the Tower of Babel. This book identifies the catholic church as the current Bablylon!

I am not sure whether to categorize Rosh Hashanna as a completely pagan tradition; it definetely has some paganism in it. But more importantly it contradicts the scriptures, and corrupts the day of the Feast of Trumpets. The Rabbis have turned Yom Teruah into a mini day of Judgment when it is supposed to be a day of rejoicing and shouting!

Although Cooking on Shabbat is not of Pagan origin, it is a tradition of man that is made out to be a commandment of Yah! This is very dangerous! It is important that we distinguish the difference between tradition and actual commandments of Yah!
